In 2008, as Pastor Park worked with the IYF Africa World Camps, God had moved him to establish and found the IYF Medical Volunteer program, which includes not only gathering doctors and physicians from different cities and countries to come and donate their time, talents, and medical equipment for those who cannot afford to go to hospitals, but it is also striving to open medical clinics in countries throughout Africa. With the dream of having doctors, who are able to heal not just people’s bodies but heal their hearts and souls as well, work at IYF Medical Clinics that will cater to the needs of all people, the popularity and wonderful results of this program have grown dramatically in a very short time. As the volunteer medical professionals experience the heart and mindset behind this heartfelt program, not only do they make a difference in the lives of the natives they meet, but they come to change and gain a deep sense of fulfillment, which Pastor Park has felt for many years as he has lived preaching the Gospel. The Medical Volunteer Program has already taken place in countries like Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana, Togo, Kenya, Burundi, Zambia, and Malawi. In fact, during the summer of 2010, the Medical Volunteer program was able to treat people in 9 different countries in Africa. And working together with biotechnology research and development corporations, especially Unhwa Biotech, the Medical Volunteer Program is also actively working for the creation of life-saving cures for cancer, AIDS, and other fatal diseases.
